As part of their partnership, Google & KPS have launched a competition for a sponsorship of a proof-of-concept project.

Submit your application for an innovative project around generative AI or big data analytics! For successful applicants, Google and KPS will cover up to €20.000 of the entire project sum of up to €30,000*. 

The application deadline to participate is 31 October 2024.

As part of this new partnership, we want to promote innovative ideas in the areas of generative artificial intelligence and big data analytics and demonstrate the potential of these topics.

The selected project proposal will receive two thirds of the project costs with a maximum total project sum of €30,000. Take this opportunity to bring your trend topics to life!

Selection criteria:

Together with Google Cloud, we have launched the Proof of Concept competition, in which we work with you to develop the potential and feasibility of your individual use case.

There is a wide range of possible use cases that can be analyzed as part of the PoC. Please note that only applications that meet the following criteria can be considered:

 

The Proof of Concept

- reflects innovative topics in the areas of e-commerce, marketing or customer service
- relates to topics of generative artificial intelligence or big data analytics
- is implemented with the help of the Google Cloud Platform

If your PoC project is selected, the costs for the PoC will be shared equally by the 3 competition partners (KPS, Google Cloud and your company). The costs can be up to €10,000* per party.

*The exact amount depends on the individual use case and will only be defined after the exact PoC definition. Use cases that would require a budget of more than €10,000 per party cannot be included in the PoC or must be reduced in scope accordingly.

Enrich the contest with your use cases for generative AI or big data analytics and redefine the paradigms of AI.

The following use cases are examples and only serve as a guide for your application. Do not hesitate to send us your individual use case, which can be analyzed as part of the PoC.

Big Data Analytics:

  1. Data visualisation for competitive intelligence: Keep an eye on your competitors and analyse price trends, for example, with the help of data visualization based on big data.

  2. Customer segmentation: Get the most out of your marketing campaigns by grouping your customers according to their shopping habits, preferences, demographic characteristics, purchasing power, etc. and play out individual offers.

Generative AI:

  1. Personalised marketing: Use artificial intelligence to analyse the behaviour and preferences of your customers and send tailored marketing messages and product recommendations to your customers.

  2. Image recognition: Help your customers find the right products by offering AI-powered image recognition, which allows you to recommend similar items from your product range based on the image provided by the customer.

  3. Content generation for SEO with the help of AI: Easily have the content for your blog posts, landing pages or social media posts created by AI software.

  4. Product advice via chatbot: AI-driven chatbots can improve customer service - especially for products that require a lot of advice - by providing round-the-clock support, processing inquiries and making product suggestions or providing product advice.

  5. Dynamic pricing: Automatically adjust your prices according to demand, time of day, customer purchasing power or other factors with the help of AI to increase your sales & profit margin.

Conditions of participation:

Please note the following conditions for participation for the Proof of Concept competition:

  1. The winner will be selected by Google and KPS AG. Legal recourse is excluded.
  2. Your company agrees to provide the required financial contribution of up to €10,000* for the proof of concept.
  3. The budget cannot be paid out.
  4. Consent to the advertising and commercial use of the PoC project by KPS. This includes public naming as the winning company of the competition, as well as the publication of a project description agreed with the winner, a press release and social media promotion.
  5. The winner will be selected & announced by KPS on November 4th 2024 by e-mail to the address provided in the application form.
  6. The PoC will be implemented using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.
  7. The customer provides at least one contact person for project coordination.
  8. The customer shall provide information about its data and business problems that are necessary for the implementation of the PoC. Google Cloud and KPS undertake to treat internal information confidentially.
  9. Any costs incurred, such as travel expenses, are not included in the above costs, but will be borne by the customer (= your company).
  10. By submitting the application form, you consent to the storage of your personal data by KPS AG. This consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time.

Frequently asked questions:

Can the PoC also be implemented at a different time?
Implementation of the PoC is planned for the period December 2024 - February 2025.

How long does the PoC project take?
A total duration of 4-6 weeks is estimated (depending on the use case).

Can you also have the budget paid out and carry out the PoC yourself?
No, payment of the budget is not possible.

Can I also apply with several use cases??
Yes, multiple applications with different use cases are possible.

What system requirements do I need to participate in the PoC?
The system requirements depend on the individual use case and can be discussed with you on a case-by-case basis. The prerequisite for the PoC is that it is implemented with the help of Google Cloud technologies.

To which areas can the PoC be applied?
The PoC should reflect innovative topics in the areas of e-commerce, marketing or customer service. Unfortunately, use cases from other areas cannot be considered in this competition.
